Barbeque Chicken

Ingredients

Chicken: 2 kg (cleaned & cut into big pieces)

Chilly powder: 3 tbsp.

Garam masala powder: 3 tsp.

Pepper powder: 1 tsp.

Turmeric powder: 1/2 tsp.

Jeera powder: 1tsp.

Ginger garlic paste: 1 tbsp.

Curd: 4 tbsp.

Salt as needed

Recipe

Make  slits in the chicken pieces to help absorb more flavor.

In a bowl add all the masalas along with curd and mix well to make a paste. Apply this thoroughly on the chicken pieces and keep it in the refrigerator for about 8 hours or overnight. This will make the chicken tender and juicy.

After  8 hours take the chicken out for grilling. For this first we have to prepare the grill for cooking. Place the charcoal and light it. Once the grill is heated enough, lightly oil it (it prevents chicken from sticking). Place the chicken on the grill.

Brush oil on top of the chicken pieces (this helps in retaining the moisture & prevents drying of the chicken). Cook it for 30 to 45 minutes, turning it frequently to prevent burning.

Get it nicely charred on the sides. When the chicken is cooked enough, cover with the lid for few minutes to trap in the smoke & get a smoky flavor. Open the grill.

Remove the chicken pieces from the grill. Serve it with mayonnaise and naan.
