BUTTER NAAN





NAAN INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup warm water
1tbs yeast
2 tbs sugar.
3 cups all-purpose flour(maida)
1/2 cup yogurt
salt to taste

GARLIC BUTTER INGREDIENTS:

1/4 cup salted butter

2 cloves garlic

Method:

To activate the yeast: 

Add warm water, sugar and yeast to a bowl and mix well together. Let it sit for 10 minutes. When it starts to look frothy, you can proceed to the next step.


MAKING DOUGH:

In a large bowl add the flour, fermented yeast, and yogurt knead the mixture until combined.  Slowly add warm water if necessary. Knead for 3 to 4 minutes, until we get a smooth dough. 


Grease a bowl  lightly with some oil  then place the dough in the bowl and cover it with a damp towel. Let it rest for 2 hour.

(Optional) MAKING THE GARLIC BUTTER


Heat the butter in a  pan over medium heat until melted.  Add the sliced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes.  Remove the pan from heat.

BRING TOGETHER INTO BALL


Once the dough is ready make small balls with your hands.  

ROLL OUT


Then use a rolling pin to roll out the dough ball, it should have some thickness otherwise the naan becomes hard. There is no perfect shape for naan it may be round or oval in shape.
Heat a pan over medium-high heat until it becomes hot.  

COOKING NAAN


Put the rolled-out dough to the pan and cook until the top of the dough begins to bubble. 


Flip it and cook on the other side until both sides cooks well.  Then transfer the cooked naan to a container and brush with garlic butter. You can use plain butter also.
Soft and tasty naan is ready. Serve it with chicken and mayonnaise.
