BUTTER COOKIES
Ingredients
Unsalted butter (വെണ്ണ) 225 gm
powdered sugar (പൊടിച്ച പഞ്ചസാര) 1/2 cup
maida (മൈദ) 2 cup
Corn flour (കോൺ ഫ്ളോർ) 2 tbs (optional)
Salt to taste
Method
Take the butter out of the refrigerator at least an hour before baking. It should be soft, but not melted.With an electric beater or whisk, cream the butter add powdered sugar. Beat together until lighter in color and fluffy in consistency.
In another bowl, stir together the flour, cornflour and salt.
Gradually add the flour mix to butter mix and beat at low speed to mix all together. Then with a spatula combain all to make a smooth dough.
Take the dough and shape them into cookies and place it in a baking tray. You can use piping bags to make flower like cookies. If you need add chocolate chips to it. Decorate as you need, whether putting some jam at the center or anything you like.
Remove from the oven and leave the cookies to cool for 10 minutes before serving or store in an airtight container.
