FRENCH TOAST(Indian Style)
Ingredients
Bread (ബ്രഡ്)
Egg( മുട്ട) 2 nos
Sugar (പഞ്ചസാര) 2tbs
Milk ( പാൽ) 1/2 cup
Salt(ഉപ്പ്) one pinch ( കുറച്ച്)
Cinnamon powder (പട്ട പൊടിച്ചത്) 1/4 tsp
Vanila essence ( വാനില എസ്സെൻസ്) 1/4 tsp
Ghee/ butter / oil
Method
In a bowl beat two eggs. Add 2 tbs of sugar to it and beat thoroughly. Add 1/2cup milk to it and mix well. Add a pinch of sakt, 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder and 1/4 tsp vannila essence to this and mix well. Adding cinnamon powder and vanila essence gives the toast a nice aroma. Pour this to a flat plate in order to dip the bread in egg mixture easily. Heat the pan and brush some butter or ghee or cooking oil. Set the flame to low. Take each bread slice and dip both sides of it in the egg mixture and toast it on the pan. After about one minute or became light brown colour flip it. Toast the other side also for about one minute. French toast is ready. You can garnish it with maple syrup or honey and serve hot.
