Chocolate Doughnut





INGREDIENTS

FOR CHOCOLATE GLAZE:

1 cup powdered sugar

1cup cocoa powder

1 tsp vanilla essence

1 1/2 cup milk

1tbs butter 


FOR DOUGHNUT:


1 tbs  yeast

1 cup warm water

3 tbs sugar

1 egg or 1/4 Cup milk

4 cups maida

pinch of salt

2 tbs sunflower oil

Extra oil to grease & deep fry


INSTRUCTIONS

CHOCOLATE GLAZE:

In a large wide pan, add milk, cocoa powder, sugar and vanilla essence. Stir well and boil in a low to medium flame.  Stir continuously to avoid lumps.  After obtaining a desired consistency, turn off the stove, add butter and stir well. Chocolate glaze is ready.



DOUGHNUT:

For activating yeast, take a bowl, add luke warm water, yeast, 1 tbs sugar and mix well and keep aside for 10 min to ferment.



For making dough take  maida, 2 tbs sunflower oil and salt in a large bowl and mix well. Beat one egg with 2 tbs sugar and add this to the dough. Add the fermented yeast to this and kneed. Grease the dough, cover and rest it for 2 hours for raising.


After two hours take this and roll into about 1/2 inch sheets. Now cut donut shape out of it and keep aside for 10 min for it to become little more fluffy.


Deep fry in medium hot oil until it turns golden brown.


Dip the doughnuts in chocolate glaze and serve. It can be topped with sugar powder or sprinkles as per your choice.
